Challenge 9

Pull-ups!  I suck at these too,  bit I'm working on it.  Your challenge is to get on a bar and knockout as many pull-ups or chin-ups , without dismounting.  You can change grips or use whichever hand position you'd like.  I did 12 so that's the mark to beat.  Every video entry gets 1 point,  no matter how many pull-ups.  Every person who does more than 12 gets an extra point.  If the team gets over 200 pull-ups,  everyone gets a point. Let's get it done by October 27, midnight.

If you can't do a pull-up send me a video of a negative and dead hang of 30 seconds or longer.

Challenge 8

3 mile run. Many of you know I am not a fast runner, so you will not have a hard time with this challenge. Just post a 3 mile run on or before October 26, midnight. You've got plenty of time to complete this challenge so I should not have a problem getting at least 18 entries. There is no time hack, every entry from each person gets 1 point. Post all pictures in the comment section below my run and tag someone in it. If the team gets below a 9 minute mile average , everyone gets an extra point. Every post below an 8 minute per mile average gets a point. The maximum amount of points per person is 2. I will be out of the country from Monday the 19th till the 26th, I don't know if I'll have wifi or cell service so you may not hear from me till Monday evening(26th). So you have to ask any questions before I leave. Good luck and have fun.

Challenge 7

Overhead ruck sack with 15% body weight. Must hold ruck up for 1 minute, ruck must be overhead not on head. I just want a picture no long boring videos like mine, see FB later. This is an easy one so I'll give you a short due date. October 19th at noon. I'll be on a plane to Costa Rica after that for a week and I don't know what kind of service I will have. We're using honor system and if you can't make the whole minute redo the challenge please. If you just can't do it, talk to me and keep practicing.

Record attendance so far

So far, 21 people have stepped into the arena. This will be the first class ever to have gone over 20 people, and there is no sign of things letting up!

Challenge 6

6 mile bike ride.  Let me start by saying there is a running option if you don't have acess to a bike.

Post a GPS route of 6 mile bike ride and get 1 point.  If the time is faster than mine,(13.1 mph) get an extra point. If the team average is faster than mine,  the entire team gets a point.

For those with no access to a real bike,  you can use a stationary bike, but must average 13.6 mph to get the bonus point.

For those that do not have any access to a bicycle,  you may run the 6 miles and to get bonus points must average 6.5 mph. You may want to try to find a bike unless your "Scott" fast.

You have until October 12, to finish this challenge.

Challenge 4 ( repost)

This is an easy one but must be done quickly. I want some info on every person registered for T3. This info will only be shared with our group and you can be vague if you don't like your private info on FB. I want it like this. Name: Nate ( name you like to be called by) Birth month: November Age: 44 or early 40's or 40-45(either) Weight: 180 or 175-185 (either) Hair color: dark brown Shoe size: 9.5us or 43 euro( either) Something about yourself: I want to visit all 7 continents before I'm 50. 3 down ,4 to go. This challenge is past due but still worth 1/2 credit.

Challenge 5 The reason we do the challenges, BURPEES!

The next challenge is burpees. I know some of you are having a busy weekend with catching up on challenges and whatever other trivial matters you may be dealing with. But this is always a class favorite, burpees for burpee points.

The rules are as follows,

Your feet must leave the ground for every rep to count.

Your fingers must be above your head for every rep to count.

You must do a pushup(elbows bent, torso relatively close to ground, up to elbows straight position).

You must count out loud, especially at the end. (make it hard on me and Ill do the same)

You must keep moving for the entire minute. (turtle slow if you have to, but keep moving.). Which means no stopping till after the 1 minute mark,  be safe go to 1:05.

This challenge is due October 8, midnight.

1 point to all qualifying videos.(keep moving!).

2 points if you beet my score by 2.( not my strong suit you guys will kill me on this one)

2 points for entire team if the team average is above mine.

I did 25, 26 is the score to beat.

Challenge 3 - Flutter kicks

Sorry for the chronological mix-up, folks.  The blog app has been on the fritz and you're getting these challenges a little bit out of order.  But we've got a lot of new folks registering, so you're no doubt sifting through these updates to catch up on what's been going on.  So we'll get right to challenge 3:

Everyone loves the flutter kick.

  • You have 1 minute to complete as many 4 count flutter kicks as possible.
  • There is no minimum, but you must keep your feet moving or in up position for entire minute.
  • I want to hear an audible count!
  • The due date is Oct 3.
  • If you can do 40+ you get 1 extra burpee point.

You can either email your submission or post it on Facebook, tagging Nate Jacobs (your lovable cadre)!

Challenge 2

Ruck push-ups with 10% body weight.

You have 1 minute to complete as many push-ups as possible. You must however remain in up position for the entire minute for it to count. Approved rest positions are butt in the air or sway back not touching ground. This challenge is past due but is worth 1/2 burpee point.  If you can get 55 push-ups completed,  you can get 1  burpee point.

Challenge 1

5 mile ruck March with 10% body weight.

This is the first challenge and must be done before any other challenge will be accepted. There is no due date and it is worth 1 burpee point. If you are doing an event soon , contact me for approval prior to the event.

Perks officially unveiled

With seven now in the arena, the points are going to add up quickly.  Why is cadre Nate being so generous with the points?  As it turns out, there are a ton of perks (good and bad) that are being utilized this time.  The team better start working together early to get some of these taken care of...

We are 7 strong now.

Were up to 7 registered and a couple more with their shorts rolled up high standing on the second step into the pool , trying not to get wet yet. Let's make some waves and get them wet. Soon the perk lists will be released and you can start knocking them off 1 by 1!

Begin transmission of the St. Augustine Nasty Nate T3

The class size has now gone to five, and the gears have started turning for the next series of trials that await our aspiring elites.  Will they have the fortitude to take on this brutal event?  Follow these live updates and watch.

Or step into the arena and be a part of it all.

Stats.

Start time:  8:20m

finish time: 8:39m

10 started. 10 finished.

3 vomited.

Two cried.

All are now elites. And I couldn't be more proud of them all.

Next rolls were for dive bombed push-ups, now low crawls. Rolls are over.

Luck.

First roll was a 16.  Meaning they roll vs the cadre. Winning means nothing, and losing means 30 burpees.   they won. Second roll was a 9, which is nothing. Next roll is a 1, which is 15 eight count body builders.
