Beautiful day today!
Shame that the T3 is tomorrow and that it's rainy and cold then!
Shame that the T3 is tomorrow and that it's rainy and cold then!
Participants must have a certain % of their bodyweight in their rucks for this event. Those who are short on their weight will regret it - and there’s a scale to verify it!
In addition to what has already been established in the gear list, participants must also bring one paperclip. Here is the current list.
• Six-sided dice.
• Your bib that you had mailed/handed to you with some means of attaching it on you
• A 5-gallon bucket. (Your instructor(s) are bringing 2. Decide ahead of time who doesn’t need to bring one).
• Headlamp (having a red light setting is recommended to make any team competitions easier)
• Three orange laminated index cards with the word “Strike” written on them. Cards must be hole punched and have a ziptie included with them.
• A laminated card with the name of somebody that you wish to inspire or have a positive impact on, and your name written on the other side.
• Face mask
• Your clothing cannot have any yellow on it
• A card containing any information that an EMT may need to know should something happen.
• One paperclip.
BONUS: Negative covid test result from no later than 72 hrs from event start
Mandatory gear (whole team)
• Soccer ball (inflated).
• Basketball (trust me.. you want your balls inflated).
• A laminated picture of Bob Saget with everybody’s name signed on the back.
• Two empty wreckbags/goruck bags w/ filler bags inside. Must be of equal weight capacity.
Many of the participants know not to be late already, but the rule on tardiness still needs to be expressed due to it’s importance.
If somebody is late, for every 5 minutes that person is late everybody must do 30 burpees while we wait.
This will continue up 5 increments of 30 burpees.
If somebody is still not there, they will be deemed a no-show and the event will begin without them.
If you need to drop (aka you being a no-show), you need to let us know ahead of time or else everybody will be paying for your lack of communication.
This is where you should be standing at, come 6:58am.
There will be an optional bonus lap at 6:33am.
Make sure that your instructor sees everyone with their gear laid out exactly as indicated at 6:58am on the day of the event.
We’re getting down to the wire! In less than two weeks the party on the beach will begin! So much has yet to be revealed, but some of it shall be today.
The first reveal is challenge #7 - Weekend Extra Credit!
Completion of this earns you 2 points
Attend an event this Saturday or Sunday totaling at least 3 miles
You must do one or more of the following at the event
Carry the Team Regiment flag
Carry anything on you weighing more than 10 lbs, be creative!
Run it barefoot
The next reveal is the official start location
If you’ve been at the last T3 on the beach, this location will be familiar to you. We’re all parking in the same general area to make life easier for us all. This zone is your checkpoint zone where you can store snacks or whatever you want in your car to access during your break between laps. No need to carry 10lbs worth of random crap on you that you can store in the car. Be smart with it.
The next reveal is a T3 first:
NO geography test at this event!
Perks cost ZERO POINTS!
…but you can only unlock two total…for now.
The final reveal… the perks!
You have until the Thursday before the T3 to announce which perks you would like to have unlocked.
The points you earn will not be chopped up among the team. What you earn is what you carry into the actual event. It pays to be a winner. Better get what you can now.
Listen well, below are important updates on the following subjects:
Covid stuff
10 people registration bonus,
15 people registration bonus
Checkpoint location reveal
Spectator rules
Trivia subject reveal
Keep in mind that the following gear list is subject to change, and that you may want to check this page often.
Mandatory gear list (individual)
• Six sided dice.

Mandatory gear (whole team)

o (You may want to make sure your balls are easy to see in the dark… heh)
• A laminated picture of Bob Saget with everybody’s name signed on the back.
• Two empty wreckbags/goruck bags w/ filler bags inside. Must be of equal weight capacity.
We’re getting close to the one month mark! To those familiar with the process, that typically marks the time when a plethora of challenges and information start to come through here which means two things:
1) Get as many of challenges 1-6 done as you can ASAP
2) Prepare yourself
As a special treat, if more people start submitting their challenges to the event page or by tagging our team on instagram at @team_regiment, those trivia subjects and perk rewards will be released early.
This is the first ever mandatory challenge! It’s simple, but very, very important. Let’s get right to it.
Once you are registered to this event, use the Contact Us part of our website to submit the following two pieces of information:
A quote that you relate to the most
An address for us to mail you your bib
Better to get this done sooner or later. If you live very close to the team lead (as in you train with our Orlando crew) you can request your bib in-person but only under the condition that you have already submitted item #1 through the correct channel.
Doing this earns no points, but failure to do this means a reduction in points.
That is all.
Tis’ the season!
This next challenge helps people get comfortable being uncomfortable and is quite simple… you must endure the cold! Here’s the rundown:
Stay immersed in cold water up to the shoulders for one minute.
Tell us your goals for 2021 while you enjoy your nice cold dip in the water!
Water must be no warmer than 65 degrees.
No due date on this challenge since you know… weather changes and all.
Completion of this challenge earns you two points
Complete it before Christmas while also wearing a santa hat and earn an extra point!
Same venue, cheaper cost and the current challenges are still valid.
That means that yes… there WILL be pregame challenges continuing on for the next five months. Nothing has been invalidated.
You’re welcome.
This is a challenge that may require a bit of communication. For this one, people must run but in increments of three and one submittal per person. So person #1 will submit proof of a 3mi run in which they did not stop to walk (strava links are welcomed). Person #2 then submits a 6mi run where they didn’t stop. If a third person wants to make a submission, they must do a 9mi nonstop run, etc.
Submitting a run earns a whopping three points for that person! This’ll no doubt be a great chance to rake up some points! There is no due date for this challenge, either.
What’s the catch?
The registration challenge must be completed prior to this challenge being valid. You can’t double-submit this run and your registration challenge run, either.
Good luck.
It’s that time again! Since an election falls on an election year, we cannot stress the importance of being involved in both your community but your nation as well. Challenge #2 is just as simple as you think it is:
Show proof that you voted (NOT who you voted for). Those fancy stickers, a mail-in ballot photo, online status, whatever floats your boat!
This challenge obviously expires 11:59pm on election day
Finishing this challenge earns you a point
And that’s it for challenge #2! I wish there was some other juicy info that I can impart unto you all, but the class has still yet to even unlock the registration…
While the potential team scrambles to even get registration open, challenge #1 is already out. See below.
To add to it:
Post in the usual event page.
Challenge has no due date, but if it’s done before October you get a bonus point.
Completion earns you two points if you do both the burpees and squats. One otherwise.
As usual, those who haven’t registered (that’s everyone right now) are eligible to complete challenges and earn points. Only when they register are the points actually active and able to be used for unlocking perks.
If you want to even register for this event, you will need to earn that privilege. Starting now, would-be participants, spectators or enthusiasts must submit the following content to the event page:
Half marathon run in under 2 hours and 30 minutes (Run must occur no earlier than 9/10/2020)
30 burpees in under 2 minutes (video submission)
Tag at least fifteen people that you think should attend (and not fail) at this event
Show proof that you own a 20 sided dice
Only one person may submit one of those four things.
Once all four have successfully been submitted, we can go from there.
Also, when you submit your submission, don’t make it in a comment of a post. Make your own separate post about it.
Figure it out. November 21st will be here fast, and there will not be as many opportunities to earn points.
