The vote: Trick!

Hope you all had an awesome Halloween! A couple people made some amazing Challenge #4 submissions and it’s always a delight to see the enthusiasm in your submissions! Now back to business. That means listen up.

The vote was Trick! The trick that’s being played upon you all is the revelation of the following information:

The original start time and location are NOT the real ones.

There are a total of five possible start locations for this event, with the original one crossed out in the map below. In order to narrow down your possible locations, bonuses will be specified for upcoming challenges that will require people to either perform extra credit exercises, bring in more registrants, or scrounge up and decode some cryptic messages and puzzles that can be thrown your way.

So, what happens if it’s game day and not all the locations are narrowed down? Tough titties, Tinkerbell. That means that you must arrive extra early and see if your instructor (still yet to actually be announced, by the way) is waiting at the location. This is a big deal since being late means that the entire team must do more and more burpees depending on how late you are. In addition to the five possible locations, there are three possible start times:
8:00am
7:00am
6:30am

Here are your possible start locations:

Happy Halloween!!

Sure, it's a day early but what the hell. Happy Halloween everyone!  I hope you enjoy a stress free spooktacular day devoid of any T3-stress.

All we need from one representative of the team by 11:59pm on 31 October is your collective choice of one of the following:

Trick, or treat?

Challenge #5 - serving the community

This challenge will be a lot different than the rest, but a necessary one since it echoes our teams goal of providing a positive impact on our society.  This is pretty straight forward.  All you need to do is post a picture proving one of the following:

You voted (the sticker usually proves that)

You got your flu shot

You volunteered at any race for more than four hours

Doing any one of those will get you a point, up to two points. Now... Sure you can just cheat and put a band-aid on your arm or borrow a friend's sticker, and you can likely get away with it now but there will be multiple integrity-checks at the T3.  If you have to fake any of the above challenges then it'll be very clear when you attempt to fake your way into earning that patch!

Challenge #4 - Embrace the Spook

Halloween is coming!

That means that it’s time for a halloween themed challenge! This one is pretty simple, and if you’re lame and don’t like halloween, quit now.

Here’s what you got to do.
- Submit a video of you doing 10 burpees, 10 bodybuilders and 10 pushups. These are to be done back to back with a maximum of 10 seconds break in between.
- You must be in costume!
- Challenge is due no later than 11:59pm on Halloween.
- Completion means 2 points!

A bit of advice

If you’re on the fence line of signing up - just do it.

You’re never going to be at 100% for any major endurance event, and doubt will crush dreams and goals more than failure ever will.

Just jump into the arena and come out a stronger version of yourself no matter what.

To those who already signed up:
Hahaha you’re so screwed.

Challenge #2 - No due date!

Hey!  This challenge has no due date!  That means that you can forget about it and procrastinate!

This challenge is as simple as the only true known of the T3 - the six mile run.  Everyone knows that they will be running six miles at a T3, and yet so many people unnecessarily struggle during this portion of the event.  In fact, this is where most DNFs occur!

So this challenge is for the best. It's for you to prepare for that one known. Simply submit a six mile run (no treadmills, no OCRs). This is usually best done with a screenshot of your results. Be sure to include your overall distance (duh) and pace.

Submitting your run in September will earn you four points, with the reward going down by one point for each month after that.

No other caveats. Just get it done.

Challenge 1 extended!

If you'd like to still do challenge one, you may do so until 11:59pm on September 30th. Only this time innaddition to submitting it to the event page, you must also post it to your wall explaining that you were late.

Challenge one!

Five people have registered for the T3!  As is tradition, the pregame challenges have now officially BEGUN!  If you're still privy to T3 tradition, you will also know that challenge one is always some good ol' burpees. So let's dive straight into the rules and see who is paying attention.

• Do as many burpees as you can possibly do in one minute.

• Get more than 20 done and you earn a bonus point.

• Do them while singing and you earn another point.

• Do them while soaking wet and you earn another point.

• Get this submitted before September 22nd at 7:44pm.

• Submit challenges in the event page on Facebook. Don't have Facebook?  Get someone to post it for you. Figure it out.

• Those who haven't registered yet may still complete this challenge, but you won't have points added to your name until you're officially registered.

Getting there...

We're ONE more registration away from pregame challenges being unlocked!  This will be the earliest that pregame challenges get unlocked before a T3!  With that in mind, they will likely have extended due dates, but slightly more difficult challenges.

Begin transmission of the December 15th, 2018 St. Augustine T3!

The Last T3 in New Port Richie featured an incredible and diverse group of athletes that conquered immeasurable challenges, but now we move over to the cold, sandy beaches in the Florida wintertime!

You may see familiar faces, and you will no doubt see some new all-stars at this event!  Want to be a part of the group?  Look no further...

So our Facebook page was streaming parts of the event as well.  If there was a break in these updates, that's why.  Here are the videos:

It is done!!!

After removing straps, shoes, hair ties, adding casualties and brutal time hacks for the last stretch, they finally did it!  Eight started, six finished.

From 1015am until 12:40am, they freaking rocked it!

20 minute time hack

To March one mile. Sounds simple but it's time that they start moving with more purpose. After numbers and puzzles, the last 1/2 mile walk back to the checkpoint will progressively get worse. It'll start with one ruck strap going undone, then the waist, then a casualty, then they lose their shoes, and then....

They get their patch

Walking back to checkpoint

Going to pass through the big field again to do ask for numbers and then let them choose to play 'pain now beer later' or the 3d puzzle/whistle drills game. This is going to be tough to do because I know how badly it's going to hurt...

But they pull though. They can. Handle anything right now.

Trivia part two

They got a question wrong so they must choose two of their lap 1 field exercises and do them over again. They chose crabwalks and aikido rolls
