Looks like the April 30th class trained well! With easy cards and a mile knocked off of their second lap, it is clear that they are taking this event very seriously. The final point loadout for the team is 44, divided evenly among everyone. There will be no more challenges issued on this page. Hydrate well and double your calories for now!
This challenge will be the last pregame challenge posted. Challenge 7 had both teams working together to help out the April 16th class, so now it's time for it to be switched around. Here are the rules:
April 16th -
Run 5 miles at a pace no slower than 10:15/mi
Doing so earns the April 30th class 1 point
April 30th -
Run 5 miles. No pace requirement, so by all means slack off. We'll remember.
Not doing so results in the individual losing 1 point.
Simple enough? This challenge is due April 27th at 11:59pm.
Just a little over a week until the April 30th class steps up for their turn. It goes without saying that they're panning for whatever advice the 16th class can give. However it will be useless. The April 30th course will be different. One lap will be disproportionately long, while another might be shorter depending on the speed of the slowest person!
4 returning elites, 3 new elites. Congratulations everyone! 15 hours and 10 minutes.
Red Rs imminent.
Time for a lake flutter kick fake out.
They do it around the pile of medals that mean so much to them.
They got it right the third time. 27 burpees until we do the tunnel of love.
Still no sign of them. Every minute means another burpee. Every burpee hurts after being subjected to 14 hours of hell.
Then again, they've already done over 300 burpees so they should be used to it by now.
Only one of the two who got it wrong got it right on the second attempt. It took them 12 minutes to go out and back. The burpees are starting to add up....
This isn't even the last evolution. They're 14 hours in as well. Tears of frustration have now been shed
They must now go back 1/4 mile, read their quotes and deliver them back via memory. It took them 4:30 to ruck 1/4 mile, so it should take 9 minutes plus downtime spent re-memorizing quotes.
In other words, burpees will be needed from everyone.
Casualty carry to the house. On the fence of the house (1mi away) exists sun tzu quotes. The team must then ruck a quarter mile to the checkpoint to recite their quote. If they get it wrong, they all go back to read it again, adding 0.5mi to their journey. For every minute they take in doing this, they must do a burpee.
12 more bodybuilders due.
