The latest T3 has officially been announced!

It's here!  Our hallmark event is FINALLY HERE!  This time we're going back to our roots in the CLASSIC edition.  This event will have classic pricing, too!  For $39 you can embark on a 12+ hour event led by a regiment elite cadre.  Here is the rest of the info:

70 people hold the coveted rank of elite in Team Regiment. Do you have what it takes to earn your red R and join the ranks of these elite members?  Whether you think you can or cannot, you're right.

The T3 is an 12-15 hour, 15+ mile team-building ruck, run, and obstacle event that is divided into five themed laps that train, test and challenge every aspect of your mind and body. This event is designed to prepare you for big events like GORUCK Heavy, Spartan UltraBeast, World's Toughest Mudder and other similar high-caliber events out there. Think of it as a sampler dish with various elements of big events put into one big training event.  Sound like your cup of tea?  The trials you will endure are as follows:

Lap 1 - Water challenges

Lap 2 - Feats of strength

Lap 3 - Feats of endurance

Lap 4 - Feats of camaraderie

Lap 5 - Feats of intellect

Aspiring elites are expected to bring a backpack/ruck consisting of at least 18% body weight (we'll have a scale), a headlamp and some clothes to get wet and sandy in.  You will be provided with food and drinks after every lap is completed, but you're welcome to bring your own creature comforts with you if you so desire.

Those who make it to the end (people have and will quit) will receive the coveted red R patch and the rare honor that only the elite get to share in Team Regiment. Nobody has said this was easy, but everybody has said it was worth it.

Making Darien a Spartan Trifecta

2015 was an incredible year.  One of the highlights of that year was our cooperation with Azn Armour and MudRunFun to help Darien, an awesome fella with cerebral palsy, through all three Spartan races to earn his trifecta!  Our team's founder came out to these events to help Darien's dream come true and filmed the entire journey.

This is our story.

36 Pictures To See Which Muscle You're Stretching

Admit it.  You don't stretch enough.  When we do, it isn't even the right stretch.  After all, how can you tell which stretch is the correct one for the exercise you just did?  For those visual learners out there, there is a ray of hope for your stretching woes.  Beyoungbegreen posted an incredibly informative visual guide which depicts 36 different stretches with a an image highlighting the muscle being used.  Enjoy an injury free workout!

GORUCK Ingress training meetups

GORUCKxIngress Orlando is coming in April. Will you be ready? Come join Team Regiment's cross faction workout meetup at Jay Blanchard Park to complete our team's very own mission spanning over 10 portals and six miles of distance! Each portal will have a special bodyweight PT assigned to it, led by a Team Regiment Elite. Participants must bring a rucksack with around 20lbs of weight added to it. The team has two spare rucks and weight available to those who do not have one with them (first come first serve).

You can RSVP for the event here.  More meetups will be posted at our Ingress page.

Vermont Ultra Beast officially announced!

Hell, it's about time.

The event that defined so many of us out of the gaping maw of the mountain has once again opened itself up for another year of transformation.  If you sign up before January 30th, use code RACEVT to get 20% off of your registration.  Trust me, you'll need it.

Other things you'll need is a bit of perspective.  You can find three separate years of perspective from yours truly here, here and here for 2013-2015 respectively.

Not one to read people's personal experiences?  How about a practical guide to conquering the Vermont Ultra Beast.

Some curious things to note:

  1. It is no longer called the "Ultra Beast Weekend"
  2. The location (traditionally Killington) is TBD, but still in VT.

GORUCKxIngress information revealed

That was quick.

First and foremost, GORUCK will be out at the Orlando anomaly event and they will be hosting a challenge and a light event!  Here is some brief information below.  Keep reading if you want to save 25% off on the event.

The challenge will be called Stealth Ops, and it will be a lot like a challenge.  The score of this event will not contribute towards the anomaly, however.

The Urban Ops event will be modeled after the light and the score will count towards the anomaly.

More information can be found here.  Now this is where Team Regiment plays a role...

Seeing as Orlando is our hometown, and we're heavily involved in both Ingress and GORUCK, we will be hosting plenty of cross faction workout missions at Jay Blanchard Park in the months prior to the event.  We want each and every player out there to be fully prepared for both the mental and physical challenges met at any GORUCK event.  We are closely working with GORUCK to become more involved in terms of official meetups and perhaps some special gear and ingame items to give away as well.  Most importantly, once registration for these events goes live, check back at our page.  We will include instructions on saving 25% off at these events.

Upcoming T3s and Ingress

A couple of updates.

First off, the next T3 will be in Orlando as a classic.  What's a classic?  That's a T3 that is held at the original location that it began in and is modeled off of the original four laps that circulated through neighborhoods, rec centers, pools and parks.  The estimated time of this is sometime in the April timeframe, so keep your eyes peeled for that!

Next up is Ingress.  Many of our teammates are ENL players of Orlando, Tampa and Miami.  Luck would be upon us that Orlando has been chosen for this year's Obsidian anomaly series not as a satellite location but a primary one.  Alongside these events is the GORUCK Ingress event as well.  For many of us, GORUCK is what got us into Ingress.  You can definitely plan on Team Regiment having a close and active participation in this event that will benefit anybody registering for this event.  No definite word has been given to us yet as to weather or not there will be a GRT event here, but history has shown us that GORUCK shows up at every primary anomaly event.  In the likely scenario that this event is held, you can expect a team regiment discount of at least 25% to anybody interested in showing up!   More on this will be posted in the future!
